For this project I took a photographic approach as I wanted to create a brand that mixed all of the the artist’s influences in a seamless manner. I created this aesthetic through the use of carefully selected colors and lighting. I chose black and red as the primary colors to evoke power, strong emotions, and a general somber tone. Roslindale is used as the main brand font for its strokes and terminals that are reminiscent of old english display type found in paraphernalia in goth and metal culture. The position of the letters in the logo speaks of a disregard for order while also creating a circle that references the shape of a vinyl. Aside from the vinyl reference, the circle creates a system in which the theme of the work can live in a repeatable manner.
